Chalki is tiny island situated between the islands of Rhodes and Tilos. Chalki covers an area of approximately 28 square kilometers and has a population of 400 people. The main village on the island is called Nimborio and is characterized by its colorful houses, charming narrow streets, and the iconic Church of Aghios Nikolaos that was built in 1861, with its bell tower supported by an arch partially built using ancient columns.
Known for its traditional architecture, picturesque villages, and unspoiled natural beauty, Chalki also has a rocky coastline and is surrounded by crystal-clear waters making it a popular destination for sailing and diving enthusiasts. As a matter of fact, there are hardly any cars on the island and after 18:00 cars are not allowed to circulate!
